Engineer I

About the Role

DeMarr Engineering currently seeks an entry level Civil Engineer to work on a variety of projects for our clients. This role will involve a mix of office and field work. We apply the latest technology to bring value to help our clients solve their most challenging problems.

Responsibilities

  • Site/civil development including grading design, roadway design, land use and zoning research, plan submittal, storm water management systems design, data collection assistance and erosion and sediment control design.

  • Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.

  • General support of the design team in all aspects of a given project.

  • May also conduct code research, write specifications, and obtain permitting.

Required Skills & Experience

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering.

  • EIT or planning to take FE upon graduation. 

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with hydrology, stormwater management and an environmental focus is a plus

  • General knowledge of engineering concepts.

  • Previous internship experience preferred.

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft office is required.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Engineer II

Guaranteed 40 hrs per week with up to 10 hrs of 1.5x Overtime per week.

A few days a month we will visit job sites to check on construction progress, set stakeout points or collect missing survey data.
