On this Adams Morgan project in Washington, DC, DeMarr Engineering provided the Civil Engineering Plans to convert this 4-story row dwelling into a first of it's kind Barbershop, Speakeasy, and retail concept in DC.
DeMarr Engineering performed the Land Survey and produced the Civil Engineering drawings to obtain the necessary site permits.
Following the site survey, we coordinated with the project architects add various site improvements and a utility service upgrade. Our site plan included existing features to be removed, proposed site conditions, elevations and grading, lot occupancy calculations, erosion & sediment control measures, DC Water utility upgrade design, and Traffic Control Plan design. Our plans were then submitted to the various DC Agencies (DCRA, DC Water, DOEE, and DDOT) and approved upon second submission.
Following plan approval, we assisted the owner and architects in obtaining the necessary public space, occupancy, excavation, and supplemental plumbing permits. As a result, the entire project was a success.
